Alessandro Rabottini - Artistic Director at miart
Alessandro Rabottini (b. 1976) is a curator and art critic. He was Chief Curator of GAMeC Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bergamo from 2001 to 2012, and Curator at Large at MADRE Donnaregina Museum of Contemporary Art in Naples from 2012 to 2015, institutions for which he has curated solo shows of international artists like Mircea Cantor, Keren Cytter, Latifa Echakhch, Giuseppe Gabellone, David Maljkovic, Victor Man, Robert Overby, Walid Raad, Pietro Roccasalva, Tim Rollins & K.O.S, Sterling Ruby, Padraig Timoney, Ettore Spalletti, Tris Vonna-Michell and Jordan Wolfson.
As an independent curator he has organized solo shows by John Armleder, Gianfranco Baruchello, Elad Lassry, John Latham, Guillaume Leblon, Adrian Paci and Danh Vo, and has collaborated with public institutions like the Triennale and PAC in Milan, Accademia di Francia –Villa Medici in Rome, GAM Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Turin, Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Basel, Centre d'Art Contemporain in Geneva, Bergen Kunsthall, Le Consortium in Dijon, FRAC Champagne Ardenne in Reims and kestnergesellschaft in Hannover.
His writings have appeared in magazines like Flash Art, Frieze, Kaleidoscope, MAP Magazine, Modern Painters and Mousse.
He is a member of IKT - International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art.
Nicola Ricciardi, Editor-in-chief at Carnet de miart
Nicola Ricciardi (born in 1985 in Milan, Italy) is an independent art writer and curator. He received a MA from the Graduate Program at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College (CCS Bard) in New York in 2014; a BA from the School of Arts and Philosophy at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (USCS) in Milan in 2007; and attended courses at the University of California, Berkeley in 2006. Nicola is Editor-in-Chief at Carnet de miart and contributes regularly to Mousse Magazine. His writings have been featured in several art magazines, including Frieze, The Brooklyn Rail, DIS, Alla Carta, and Lampoon. Nicola is the editor of Portraits, Portraits, Portraits, the first monograph on the work of Patrick Tuttofuoco (Mousse Publishing, 2015). Since 2013 he’s been invited to contribute to various art publications and catalogs including Here, Now and Elsewhere: Site-Specific and Thereabouts (Mousse Publishing, 2015), with an essay on the work of Alberto Garutti. In 2015 Nicola curated “Interior, Day” by Marc Horowitz and “Samsara” by Kour Pour, both at the Depart Foundation in Los Angeles, California; and “DYNASTY” by Patrick Tuttofuoco at Dispari & Dispary Project, Reggio Emilia.
Bianca Stoppani - Editor at Carnet de miart
Bianca Stoppani is an art researcher. She holds a BA in Visual Cultures from Brera Academy, Milan, and she is currently an MA candidate in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths University, London. In 2011 Bianca co-founded the online platform COOKIE&LUZ, in 2014 the artist-run space Armada in Milan, and in 2015 the editorial project Momentum. She served as Tips and Online Editor at Kaleidoscope, from 2012-2015.
Her writings have been appeared in Kaleidoscope and Mousse.
